November 2007 James was privileged to spend six weeks helping the BBC Natural History unit to film Western Lowland Gorillas in the Congo Republic for their new landmark series: "LIFE". This photo shows Kingo: a dominant male silverback weighing about 200kg.

August 2007 CAL gets to spend 6 weeks helping the BBC NHU's "LIFE" team to film Sumatran Orang-Utans in the Gunung Lueser National Park, Northern Sumatra. There are only an estimted 7300 of these critically endangered great apes left in the wild.

August 2007 Operation Wallacea invites CAL to run canopy climbing activity's at their field site in Sulawesi, Indonesia. This follows on from the successful 2006 Honduras season. Instructor Grant Harris delivered the training.
